Every scent carries a name.
Every name carries meaning.
Every fragrance in the ÀÁDÙN collection carries a Yoruba name. Not as branding. As lineage.
Yoruba naming culture is not incidental — a name is a declaration of character, aspiration, and belonging. When a child is named Aanu, she is being called into mercy. When she is named Fola, she is being called into honour. These names carry meaning that perfects over time.
We built the ÀÁDÙN collection on the same principle. Each scent was composed to carry the weight of its name — not just in notes, but in feeling. In the way it opens on skin. In what it leaves behind.
This is not a collection about Africa as aesthetic. It is a collection about specificity — the particular beauty of Yoruba language, West African botanicals, and skin that has always deserved this level of attention.
Why alcohol-free?
Mainstream perfumery uses alcohol as a carrier — it projects scent, yes, but it also dries skin and can disrupt the natural oils that make fragrance bloom. On melanin-rich skin in particular, alcohol-based fragrances can ashen, irritate, and evaporate before the scent has the chance to settle.
ÀÁDÙN perfume oils use Vitamin E oil as carrier. The result is a scent that is slower, warmer, and more intimate — it develops with your body heat and stays closer to skin, longer. It moisturises as it perfumes.
This is not a compromise. It is a preference.
How to wear your oil.
Apply to pulse points
Wrists, inner elbows, the side of your neck, behind your knees. The warmth at these points activates and lifts the scent throughout the day.
Press, don’t rub
Do not rub wrists together — this crushes the top notes and changes the fragrance composition. Press, or dab, then let the oil settle.
Layer freely
ÀÁDÙN oils can be worn alone or combined. Fola and Aanu create a warm citrus-coffee accord. Experiment — your skin chemistry is part of the formula.
